Mark was born and raised in Central Delaware. He and Patty, his wife of 38 years, are the owners and operators of Pugh's Service LLC., a third-generation family business established in 1945. Located in north Dover, Pugh's Service provides complete automotive repair and maintenance and sales and service of both professional and consumer outdoor power equipment. Mark and Patty are the proud parents of two daughters, Laura Pugh-Stewart and Rebecca Taylor Pugh.
Mark has been active in community service nearly his entire life. At 14 years of age, Mark became a Volunteer Fireman and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and is now a Lifetime Member of the Leipsic Volunteer Fire Company. Later, as a Town Councilperson and then Mayor of Leipsic, he brought public sewer and high speed connectivity to his community. Mark and Patty have also been blessed with the privilege of chairing a fundraising arm for the Modern Maturity Center and the Meals on Wheels program. Mark was appointed Kent County Co-Chair of the Central Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) Committee for the State of Delaware by Governor Ruth Ann Minner. He has been an active member of the Dover Colonial Rotary Club for over 20 years and served as the Club President in 2016. Mark, Patty, and their dog Bailey currently reside in the town of Leipsic in the house which his grandparents and their entire family (Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Children, and Parents) have at one time or another called home.
